ASSOCIATION OF CONTRACT PLAYERS

The VVCS (founded in 1961), the interest group for professional football players, is affiliated to the Federatie Nederlandse Vakbeweging (FNV), and aims to assist its members both on an individual and collective basis, both in labour law and social issues.

The VVCS is boardmember of the international players’ organisation FIFPro. VVCS runs the secretariat of the Central Players Council (CSR), a body of the KNVB. The VVCS holds regular consultations with the board of professional football KNVB, Eredivisie CV, CED and FBO. The VVCS nominates two members of the Supervisory Board of the Contract Players Fund KNVB (CFK). Although the VVCS focuses primarily on the interests of its members, many clubs also call on the expertise of the VVCS.
