New leader in the VVCS Premier League Field Competition

FC Groningen occupies the top position with an average score of 4.50. Feyenoord’s pitch follows closely behind with an average of 4.43. PSV’s pitch completes the top three with an average rating of 4.33. Fortuna Sittard’s pitch currently has the lowest rating with an average of 2.75.

Last year, Dutch clubs unanimously decided to ban artificial turf in the Eredivisie from the 2025/2026 season onwards, but this year there are already no clubs in the Eredivisie playing on artificial turf. The VVCS is delighted with this development!

About the VVCS Pitch Competition

Every week, the captains of the Ere and Eerste divisions give their ratings for pitches in the Netherlands. After each round of matches, VVCS chairman Evgeniy Levchenko receives a text message from the captains of the away clubs with a rating from 1 (poor) to 5 (top pitch) for the pitch on which they played.
