Team VVCS is now a household name in professional football. In 2004, this VVCS initiative saw the light of day. At the time, the team of club-seeking pros travelled to Clairefontaine, the training centre of the French Football Federation, to play its first match under the eye of scouts against Team UNFP, the French pros looking for a new club. The organisation around the team VVCS has only professionalised since then.
The selection of club-seeking VVCS members (m) invariably start the training sessions when the BVOs also start their preparation. These training sessions generally cover five weeks and take place at the VV Woudenberg complex. Team VVCS training sessions are led by a complete technical staff: head coach, physique coach and a goalkeeper coach. The training staff is of course assisted by a qualified carer.
During the campaign, there will be daily training to optimally prepare the players for possible matches. As soon as there are enough participants, attempts will be made to organise matches against professional football organisations in the Netherlands. Naturally, the various social media channels of the VVCS will be used to generate attention for these matches.
Club-seeking VVCS members are enabled to train and play (international) matches in teams, under expert guidance. Every year, many players manage to extend their professional careers in this way. Some even ended up with a nice foreign adventure.
Team VVCS is a VVCS service for members (m) who were active in professional football last season and are now (temporarily) clubless. All costs are therefore borne by the VVCS.
