Nice visit VVCS to FIFPRO General Assembly 2024 in Indonesia

Evgeniy Levchenko and Stijn Boeykens attended the congress in Bali on behalf of the VVCS, where the new statutes were approved and the new board was elected. Alex Philips was presented as the new secretary general of FIFPRO.

Manchester United goalkeeper and VVCS member Andre Onana received a special honour. He and his foundation won the FIFPRO Merit Award. The Andre Onana Foundation advocates medical care for people, including children in Cameroon. The foundation is also committed to educating orphans.

‘The foundation means a lot to me,’ says Onana. ‘When we have our operation campaigns, I try to be there as much as possible. You see people who have nothing but still look happy. They make the best of a difficult situation.’

‘When my career took me to Europe, there were people who helped me. I will never forget that. Because of the support I have had in the past, I now feel the responsibility to give something back.’
