Louis Everard appointed for 3 years as a member of the International Court of Arbitration in Sports: ICAS

It’s our pleasure to confirm that Louis Everard has been appointed ICAS member for the period 2023-2026. He will be representing athletes in line with article S4 of the ICAS Statutes and in the context of the new FIFA-ICAS agreement.

Congratulations on your appointment, Louis!

Everard: ”As discussed many times, I agree that the CAS can improve. But I also think we have the possibility to make real progress in the coming years and help the interests of our different members.
My priority list, to start with:
1
Reduction of arbitration costs for players. This now forms a barrier for access to this court.
2
Full transparency to the legal aid fund. Plus an increase of the amount available.
3
Stricter deadlines to communicate the CAS verdicts.”
